Tech skills 3 - Shannon David

     B. A blog is basically an online journal where either an individual or a few people will post information about certain topics. Teachers can create blogs to share amongst each other info on specific class topics or goals and that info can be seen by other students, parents, and the school faculty. A blog is updated on a regular basis and typically contains pictures, photos, and videos. I would use my blog as a platform to keep family updated on the kiddos, share experiences and ideas, and maybe give opinions on issues that effect those I love. I would also like to have a blog in my classroom one day.
       C. Teachers can use blogs as communication tools. Through student learning, student-family communication, professional networking, and instructional opportunities, blogging is creating forums for students and others to learn.
I think communication is so important. I want to be able to have a parent easily click on to my blog and be able to find the answers to their questions or concerns. I want my students to be able to refer to a blog that has possibly been a collaborative effort by their peers.
          D. 1. Learning in Wonderland: is a blog wrote by a woman whose says her main purpose for her blog, is to communicate and share ideas with other teachers. Right now she has different ways to organize a classroom, different ideas to make a birthday special for a student, and I also tours which guide you through other teachers classrooms. I loved how colorful and fun her page looked. This blog is intended for elementary classrooms.
                 2. Beyond the Worksheet with Lindsay Perro. Her blog contains quality, engaging and content-rich resources for math in the middle grades. I was drawn to her blog because it was very neat and organized. Math is not my strong suit, but I was able to follow along through her lessons and review my skills. Lindsay makes math interesting.
